How did Starfire Creations begin?
I’ve always been into arts, with painting and drawing in my teenage years. In 2017 after the birth of my last child, I began making Dream Catchers as a hobby and quickly realized that this was the path of my calling and StarFire was the beginning of my blossoming as an artisan/crafter. After my first few shows I started expanding my craft and added resin jewelry, gemstone bracelets, pendants, pendulums and resin/gemstone decor, including our top selling Intention owls and dragons. During Covid, my husband started adding gemstone necklaces and then later on added some of his Spiritual creations which include: meditation prayer beads, rosaries, wands, staffs and antler/bone creations. Fast forward to now and we combine our knowledge, creativity and love for making one-of-a-kind items that everyday people or people who practice particular paths, can use or utilize in their daily lives. Today StarFire Creations continues to grow and we spread our wings even more with Paintings, handmade bone/antler Athames, Shaman sistrums, Talking sticks and a variety of 3D Tree of Life Dream Catchers! As we grow we find what works and what doesn’t but we always strive for uniqueness. Between StarFire’s talented eye for color combinations when designing dream catchers and her skilled hands with painting to 5Feathers love and talent for working with his element, this husband and wife team are working together to bring a unique blend of talent and creativity into your life and daily practices.
Please tell us about your antler creations and artifacts.
Seeing that Earth is mine and my husbands sign, we are deeply connected with working with that element. Our antler creations are inspired by nature, ceremonial practices and our culture! All of our bone and antler pieces are bestowed upon us when adventuring in the wilderness. Every gift that is given to us to turn into one-of-a-kind items, we make sure we leave a gift in return to Mother Earth for providing us with the items. From the antler necklaces, bone and stone daggers, wooden wands and sistrums, every inch of these creations are paying homage to its original creation!
Magic wands vs magic staffs: What is your personal preference?
StarFire: I prefer working with wands. It’s easier for me to set my intentions for my practice.
5Feathers: I have a wand and staff for every occasion! So I prefer either or. Although as the older I get, my old bones need the support of a staff! Lol
What's the most inspirational feedback you've received from a vendor show customer?
As far as the most inspirational feedback we’ve received, it’s not necessarily words or reviews, since we prefer to sell in person at events from Craft Shows to Metaphysical Events. I would say our best feedback is that we have a lot of people who come back to look for new items for their homes and practices. Our in-person presence outweighs our social media presence. And for us that is how we enjoy it! The up-close experience and personal engagement is the feedback and is what keeps us going and growing.
