The joys of long hair and dynamic dressups with Alya and Stefani Chaglar
04/04/2023
Five years ago, Seasunstefunny went viral when Stefani dressed up in Red Carpet celebrity outfits that you made out of everyday household items. How did you originally come up with such a creative idea?
Stefani went viral for the first time with #funnystefani photo series. We made fruit&vegetables&flowers outfits using forced perspective. The first picture was made only for fun. Apparently the whole idea began with one slice of watermelon that I held up in front of my then two-year-old daughter standing away from me. I tried a watermelon slice as a dress. I laughed out loud when I saw her facial expressions and the way she posed, so I decided to share that picture in my account. I loved the reaction and we continued to create another outfits later! Another famous photo series is known by #ahStefani hashtag. It went viral when she was 4 years old. It all started from Rihanna’s outfit. The idea to recreate runway looks came when I saw a red carpet look of Rihanna wearing a blue tulle dress, paired with sunglasses and white sneakers. I decided to make a similar ensemble for Stefani using plastic garbage bags and I posted the photo on our Instagram account. Our followers loved the comparison and since then we recreated many many of different celebrities’ looks! And we still do!
What is the most artistic outfit you've created?
We recreate the most fabulous celebrities’ looks. That’s why I believe that all of them are artistic in and of themselves. Stefani’s favorite outfit is Lady Gaga’s dress made out of toys. And I love absolutely all of them. (: At the beginning it took me 15-30 min to recreate a look, but later I started to make the dresses with more and more details! Many of them were hand painted. We don’t keep the dresses after the shooting is over; we recycle the dresses for another creation.
The mother-daughter hair care video clips look like so much fun! Please tell us a little bit about the behind-the-scenes of these unforgettable demonstrations. (:
We love to create hair care videos & trying different hairstyles! Sometimes it takes us up to 4 days to film these videos! It’s not as easy as it looks. But it’s still fun! The idea, the music search, the outfit search etc. takes the most time (and of course the cleaning after). After the editing is finished we love to watch the result together and tell each other if there’s something we’d love to add or change.
What advice and/or tips would you give to women and girls with long hair goals?
Having long, strong hair doesn't just depend on which products you put on your hair; it also depends on what you put into your body. Try increasing your protein intake with foods like fish, beans, nuts, and whole grains. Add vitamins A, C, and E, minerals like zinc and iron, and omega-3 fatty acids. Brush your hair before you shower. When your hair is wet it is more vulnerable to breakage, so always brush knots out of your hair when it's dry. Hydrate and condition your hair frequently. Your hair needs moisture to thrive and grow. If it lacks moisture, your long tresses will hang listlessly. Now, the best moisture comes from within – so, remember to drink plenty of water. Use a microfiber hair towel. It gently wicks away excess water without stripping your hair of natural oils. Stop over-styling your hair, if you must use heat, always use a heat protectant. Sleep on satin or silk pillowcases. Silky, frictionless satin protects against frizz, tangles and tugging on your hair. From my own experience you have to know what works best for your own hair by trial and error. Everyone’s hair is different. And different products react in different ways. Just like shower gels, soaps, lotions etc.
